News aggregation sites like Reddit can expose you to the latest information about your new field. In addition, establishing a reputation by commenting on stories in a concientious fashion can help you be more visible in the community.

Remember when participating in any discussion that you are a representative of Code Fellows. Behave accordingly.

Subscribe to some of the Python subreddits, such as
