Ops Lab Kit
By the first day of class, you will need to have the Ops Lab Kit in your possession.
Obtain the Ops Lab Kit following the instructions provided by your school.
IMPORTANT: As a safety precaution, do NOT open the lab kit PC’s case and remove components until instructed to do so during class.
Your Ops Lab Kit contains primarily:
- A desktop tower PC computer intended for lab and data overwrite
- Compatible peripherals
- USB flash drives
- Sysadmin screwdriver toolkit
- Ethernet cables
- A wireless router for an isolated home network
Each kit will be reused in every Ops course, you don’t need to buy more hardware for later courses.
Submission Instructions
Create a Google Doc and add to it a photo of your desktop tower PC and the rest of the Kit contents.
- Name the document according to your course code and assignment.
- i.e.
seattle-ops-102d33: Lab 04
.
- Add your name & date at the top of the Google Doc.
- Share your Google Doc so that “Anyone with the link can comment”.
- Paste the link to your Google Doc in the discussion field below and share an observation from your experience in this lab including how long this lab took to complete.
